A weekly place to say how things are actually going
Some weeks you want a social night; other weeks you want somewhere you can be a little more honest. Tuesday Check-In exists for the second kind of evening. It is a regular community space where members can check in with how life feels, hear other people and avoid carrying everything in isolation.
The session is intentionally human rather than clinical. Lifted Spirits is a community, not a healthcare provider, and Tuesday Check-In is peer connection rather than therapy. The value comes from being around real people who may understand parts of what you are dealing with.
Who Tuesday Check-In can be useful for
You do not need a diagnosis, a crisis or a particular life story to attend. Members may join because they feel lonely, are having a difficult week, are rebuilding after heartbreak, feel socially disconnected, or simply want somewhere more meaningful than surface-level chat.
It can also work well for quieter members because there is no requirement to arrive with a prepared story. Listening can be part of joining, and familiarity with the group can build over multiple Tuesdays.
- Adults who want a regular peer-community check-in
- People who feel lonely or socially disconnected
- Members going through heartbreak, change or a difficult period
- People who want conversation that can go deeper than small talk
What happens during Tuesday Check-In
The event is centred on conversation and listening. What members bring to a particular week can vary, so the session is not locked to one topic or a rigid programme. The common thread is that it should feel easier to be real than it often does in ordinary social spaces.
You are not expected to solve another member's problems or give professional advice. The aim is connection, perspective and the relief that can come from not being the only person in the room carrying something difficult.
How to join the Check-In from the website
The public event page lets you understand the session before creating an account. Once you join Lifted Spirits, the platform keeps Tuesday Check-In as your original intent and returns you to the event instead of dropping you into a generic homepage with no next step.
Inside the member event lobby you can choose Going, Interested or Not going. If you choose Going, connect Discord to your Lifted account before the session so your event access can be prepared automatically.
- Join Lifted Spirits or sign in
- RSVP Going or Interested
- Connect your Discord account
- Enter through the event lobby when the session opens
Your first full Tuesday Check-In is free
Free members receive one full Check-In session so they can experience the conversation rather than watch from outside it. The entitlement is attached to the recurring Tuesday Check-In series, not just one date.
Simply clicking Going does not use the free session. Lifted records attendance after the event, using Discord activity data from Statbot with a host correction route for genuine attendance that automation misses.
You can join without being the person who talks most
A peer check-in only works if people feel able to arrive as themselves. You can be new, quiet, nervous or unsure what you want to say. There is no prize for talking first and no requirement to share something personal before you are comfortable.
For some members, the most useful first session may simply be hearing other people speak openly and realising the community is not built around pretending everything is fine.
Tuesday Check-In is community support, not therapy
Lifted Spirits does not diagnose, treat or replace professional mental-health care. Tuesday Check-In is a social and peer-community event. If you need clinical, medical or emergency help, an appropriate professional service is the right route.
Keeping that boundary clear protects the purpose of the event: real human connection between community members, without pretending that peers are clinicians.
What to try next if the Check-In suits you
If Tuesday becomes a useful part of your week, other Lifted events can add lighter social contact around it. Monday Community Night is broader and social-first; Games Night gives conversation an activity to sit around; Movie Night is an easier Friday option if you want company without a highly interactive format.
