Lifted Spirits is community support, not professional care.
Members can talk about heartbreak, loneliness, mental health, recovery and difficult life experiences. Those conversations are peer support: people sharing experience, encouragement and friendship with one another.
Lifted Spirits, its community team and its members are not providing diagnosis, treatment, counselling, medical advice or crisis intervention through the community unless a separate professional service is explicitly stated.
Respect and safety apply across community spaces.
Members are expected to use Lifted Spirits lawfully, honestly and respectfully. Harassment, threats, exploitation, hateful conduct, scams, malicious links, serious privacy violations and behaviour that creates an unreasonable safety risk can lead to moderation action.
Moderation can include content removal, warnings, feature restrictions, suspension or loss of access depending on the situation. No online community can guarantee that every problem will be identified immediately, so reporting tools remain important.
- Treat other members with respect
- Do not pressure people for money or private information
- Do not share somebody else's private content without permission
- Report serious concerns through the available reporting tools
- Use normal caution when moving conversations off-platform
- Do not rely on a community message as an emergency response
Private and shared content are deliberately different.
Private journals and mood information are designed for personal use and are not displayed to other members unless a member chooses to publish or share something through a community feature.
Anything shared with other members should be treated as visible community content. Members should avoid posting information they would not want another person to know, copy or retain. The Privacy Policy explains how Lifted Spirits handles personal information and operational access.
Real-life meet-ups still require real-world judgement.
Meet-ups and events can involve different organisers, venues, activities, travel and accessibility needs. Members should read the specific event information, follow venue and safety instructions and decide whether an activity is suitable for them.
Lifted Spirits meet-ups are social community activities. They are not supervised medical care, therapy or crisis support, and nobody has to attend in person to belong to the community.
